If your like me then you like hip hop. I can say that I have been listing to “rap” music for almost 20 years, my first cd was vanilla ice, please get the laughs out now………(side note: my first date with my girlfriend we went to see the ice man at a bar in abbotsford and I tell you it was amazing, got back stage, smoked a j with him, did some e and got pulled over by the police, but I digest) A couple of years ago I used to frequent a site called tha_industry.net, which had tonnes of pirated albums and shit, but the best thing was the mixtape section.
The industry has since been shut down but I have located a new site that is 10000 times better then the others that have come along. It is called MixtapeTorrent.com and it is the shit. There is so much going on here its hard to find some good beats, so I will list my top 5 in the first 30 pages.
Swishahouse is still one of my favorite labels out there. Mike Jones/Paul Wall/ Slimm Thugg, if these names don’t ring a bell, then search wikipedia for swishahouse records. shit is hard and awesome flow, definitely recommend this one.
I downloaded the first 8 texas massacres on a dialup connnection and loved everyone of them. Chamillionare has the sickest flow I have ever heard and the man cant be touched. Overall 16 tracks is knda lame but 31 degreez has yet to let me down with these albums
This one is good for me as it has the early stages for me, not too gangsta I would like to be but with 61 tracks to choose from, its a good d/l. Got some wu, biggie, dre and all those busters that made you feel like a pimp.
Chances are you have either heard of Fab or not. If not you have been missing something great for many years. I can say that this artist is as good or better than the illest freestyler on the planet Cassisdy. The hit song “Breathe” was an instant classic and this is sure to keep your system warm and ready for summer.
This is the find of the day as everyone knows, I am a huge biggie fan. I used to give no respect to 2pac but over the years my tastes have improved and I now listen to a little pac on a daily basis. From the reviews that I have read this is supposed to be one of, if not the best biggie mixes around. I personally have about 14 biggie mixtapes and currently in the works on my own (Macnesa Presents……. Notorious: release date: TBA) so I will be looking forward to hitting this shit up son.
